A Funeral service will be held for Robert at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church.

Bob, I only knew you for a short time considering the length of your long life. You were always ready with a smile and a kind deed, if you could help anyone. You loved a tale, both hearing one and telling one. You readily admitted you weren’t perfect and at times had been a bit of a ‘rascal’. However, your character and personality was completely devoid of nastiness and vindictiveness.You loved engaging with all people. You were the first to befriend me when I moved here and our friendship was strong and solid. Although I’ll miss you much, I’m glad you didn’t linger long and suffer. My life was richer for you being in it.

Bob you’ve been a great friend..you made me laugh and was always there to share a story or listen to my day’s events..I enjoyed your company over a cake and a cup of coffee..I enjoyed our walks..the trip to glasshouse rock..the adventurous scramble to the beach..sitting in your favourite spot on the balcony looking over the ocean you greeted me with a wave and a smile followed by “come up”..Benda loved you too and still wanders into your garden hoping to see you and give you a kiss..we will miss you very much..but we also know you’re now in a happy safe place with no pain or worries..love u..xx
Bob , only had the pleasure of your company a dozen or so times but felt like I’d known you my whole life. Loved your stories of your past life. You obviously lived a full and long life. Your smile and laughter will be missed by me and all who knew you . Hope they still delivering the form guide in that better place you have gone to !! Love Dave
